Light & Wonder, a Nevada-based provider of gambling solutions, announced the cooperation with Betsson Group, one of the leading iGaming operators. The new collaboration has the status of a global and strategic one. Both companies are waiting for unique opportunities that can arise during their cooperation.

Due to this new deal, Light & Wonder’s extensive OpenGaming platform will be able to enter new markets via Betsson. Meanwhile, the operator will have an opportunity to extend its content portfolio. Betsson is already present within different strategic markets across Europe and Latin America. The operator was previously cooperating with Light & Wonder and now aims to gain further growth and expansion.

Laura Peretta, head of supplier relations at Betsson Group, noted that Light & Wonder had been their trusted supplier since the early days of their journey within iGaming. She added that they followed a similar path of market entries when the landscape was shifting, and L&W had always been there for them. Commenting on the OpenGaming technology, Peretta said that it guaranteed expertise, scalability, and exceptional content delivery. She added that Betsson was looking forward to the benefits of the collaboration for the two companies.

The new deal is expected to be beneficial for Light & Wonder’s Open Gaming platform in terms of strengthening its position. This platform delivers over 3,500 games offered by in-house and third-party developers and also stands out with security and seamless integration as well as responsible gambling tools.

Light & Wonder’s MD Europe Magdalena Podhorska-Okolow noted that they viewed Betsson Group as an important operator that had shown commitment and trust to L&W over many years. According to her, both companies fueled each other’s growth while collaborating for years. Finally, Podhorska-Okolow said that Light & Wonder was looking forward to helping Betsson continue to grow.
