Rivers Casino Hosts New York Hiring Event
Today, on March 28, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is hosting a hiring event at its Event Center in NY. The range of jobs available includes 50 positions, from hourly-paid to salaried.
The Rivers Casino Human Resources team will hold on-site interviews with everyone who wants to get new jobs ranging from security officers to dealers and gaming supervisors. The minimum age of applicants for different positions is 18 or even 21 years old. Rivers Casino’s Human Resources team has warned applicants to bring their resumes.
Vice President of Human Resources at Rivers Casino Linda Waters said that there are tremendous opportunities at Rivers for professional and personal growth. She added that they always place a premium on enriching the lives of all their team members and their families. Full-time positions include paid time off, tuition and fitness reimbursement programs, a 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision plans, discounted meals, and complimentary shuttle bus service from the local CDTA blue line stop.
Rivers Casino also offers gaming academies to train people interested in becoming casino dealers. Full-time and part-time dealers are on demand. The Dealer Academy starts April 24 and runs for six weeks. The number of participants is limited to 20 people, the event is free of charge. In addition, Rivers will prepare 12 future dealers within the Poker Dealer Academy, an eight-week training program.
Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady was opened in 2017 as part of the Mohawk Harbor project. This venue is operated by Rush Street Gaming and offers over 1,100 slot machines, 70 table games, and a poker room with 15 tables. There are also five on-site dining options and a number of nearby attractions like Proctors Theater and the Stockade Historic District.
