Nevada Reports $1.24bn Revenue for April 2024
Nevada has reported its gaming revenue data for the previous month. In April, a total of $1.24bn was generated, representing a 7%-increase on a yearly basis. Slots brought in the majority of the revenue, $886.8m, the result increased by 5.9%; card, counter and table games generated $353.4m, up 9.8%.
Of the total amount generated in the slots segment, $586.8m were brought by multi-denomination machines, which is an increase of 26.4%. Meanwhile, 1 cent machines experienced a 21.5%-decline, with $216.6m earned. $25 slots showed the best performance, with $1.4m generated in April: the growth was 137.6%. At the same time, the result of $5 slots was far from heights, with 39.6% decrease to $4.5m.
As for table, counter and card games, blackjack took the lead, bringing in $110.2m, a 31.2% of statewide revenue. Baccarat segment saw the largest year-on-year growth, with $76.1m earned and 72.5%-increase. Meanwhile, craps showed the worst performance, with a decline of 25.5% to $30.3m.
Looking at the Las Vegas Strip results, its gaming revenue reached $666.1m in April 2024. 61.4% of that amount, or $409.3m, came from slot machines, while table, counter and card games generated the remaining $256.8m, up 5.1% and 9.2% respectively. Consistent with statewide statistics, Las Vegas Strip revenue leaders were multi-denomination slots ($276.9m), blackjack ($81.7m) and baccarat ($76.7m).
The Clark County Boulder Area posted the second-best revenue generated throughout Nevada in April. The result was up 8.5% year-on-year to $83.1m, slightly ahead of Downtown Las Vegas figures. The latter reported $82.8m of revenue, with an 11.1% increase on a yearly basis.
