Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort Deploys iCleanse UV Phone Sanitizers with Digital Ads
In partnership with iCleanse, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut has deployed fifteen UV units for smartphone disinfection across the property. These units also have a built-in technology for serving targeted digital advertising to users.
The cooperation between iCleanse and the resort aims to enhance health and safety measures across Mohegan Sun. Thanks to ultraviolet disinfection, such pathogens as RSV, Covid-19 and influenza are neutralized within a quarter of an hour.
iCleanse CEO Chris Allen noted that their partnership with Mohegan Sun represented another milestone in adopting Swift UV technology. Allen added that by combining ultraviolet technology with place-based ads, they deliver dual benefits to any merchant or organization with public space.
Since the Swift UV units, in addition to disinfection, are programmed to display site-specific promotional videos during the process of direct use, they are installed in various high-traffic areas throughout the resort. Those include casinos and shops, the Sky Tower hotel lobby, and the Mohegan Sun Arena.
Mohegan Sun CMO Kimberly Noto said that they chose Swift UV units based on an easy deployment, efficient operation and ability to have additional on-site advertising for the resort’s entertainment offerings and promos. Noto added that the units were helping to ensure a healthier environment for all of their guests while benefiting their more than 70 restaurants, bars, lounges and retail offerings that made their resort such a unique experience.
The units can be used for disinfecting any of standard phones and cases; they are also suitable for use in a wide variety of public places such as hotels, airports or hospitals. Meanwhile, promos can be delivered via 4G, Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi.
Swift UV is not the only recent upgrade for Mohegan Sun. In December 2023, the resort partnered with Tesla to introduce the first Tesla Electric Vehicle Showroom in Connecticut.
