MaxEnt to Shut Down Its Casinos and Bookmakers
The online gambling operator MaxEnt which has a Maltese license has recently announced that it will stop its online gambling and sports betting websites. These are the Go Slotty, Slotty Vegas, and Vulcan Bets online casinos with slot machines and the GGBET online bookmaker.
The company stated that the websites would be shut down on July 31. It advises customers to withdraw funds from their accounts before this date. Gamblers and bettors no longer can make deposits.
The full text of the message is as follows: “If you have a pending real funds balance in your account, please request a withdrawal at your earliest convenience. Should you have a pending balance and can’t withdraw it, kindly get in touch with the customer service team for help.”
MaxEnt had the license of the UK Gambling Commission for almost 6 years — from November 2014 to January 2020. However, the permit was revoked because of the regulator’s concerns regarding the operator’s finances. The Gambling Commission was specifically alarmed by MaxEnt’s new ownership and the source of funds that were used to purchase the company.
MaxEnt initially appealed against the Gambling Commission’s decision. Finally, the company withdrew its appeal and continued to operate under a Malta Gaming Authority license.
