Light & Wonder Signs Deal With Atlantic Digital
Light & Wonder, aiming to bolster its OpenGaming platform, has partnered with Atlantic Digital to host a range of the latter’s upcoming branded releases.
According to the deal, Atlantic Digital will develop games in tandem with Light & Wonder’s Playzido RGS. It is expected that a range of branded slots based on classic films and television shows will be offered through the OpenGaming platform.
Managing Director at Atlantic Digital Sam Hobcraft noted that the combination of Light & Wonder alongside Playzido was the perfect platform solution for Atlantic Digital to drive the distribution of their premium branded games on a global level.
Hobcraft added that they were able to build games quickly and efficiently via the super professional team at Playzido. Still, even more importantly, they were now able to access the biggest operators on both sides of the Atlantic. He also added they were looking forward to an excellent relationship in the years ahead.
The exclusive licenses are not revealed yet, but “well-known brands” that are “soon-to-be-announced” will be involved in the selection of slots, and games are set for release in Spring 2023.
After being developed, all the titles will be available to all operators affiliated with the OpenGaming platform, which now offers over 3,500 games from a global network of both in-house and third-party studios.
Digital Partnerships Director at Light & Wonder Steve Mayes noted that the team at Atlantic Digital had a proven track record in the industry, and they brought fantastic possibilities given the wide range of brand rights they had secured.
Mayes added that branded game creation was undeniably difficult to perfect, but they were already delighted to see the level of skill, effort, and attention that Atlantic Digital was investing into their games. He also stated that an agreement would accelerate Atlantic Digital’s growth while providing OpenGaming partners with a stream of recognizable and high-quality content to distribute to players.
