The Legends Bay Casino Obtains a License in Nevada
The first new casino in over 20 years has been built in the Reno-Sparks metropolitan area in Nevada. Now it can organize gambling. The regulators of The Silver State have decided to give the official license to the Legends Bay Casino. It is built in Sparks and is operated by the local Olympia Gaming company. A sportsbook will be managed by Circa Sports, and slots, table games, video poker, and multiple restaurants will be at gamblers’ disposal.
The construction of the 80,000-square-foot casino cost about $120 million. Court Cardinal, the regional president of Olympia Gaming, hoped that the Legends Bay would open in August but noted that Olympia Gaming didn’t want to announce a specific date because everything could change.
The company planned to build a casino and hotel resort after buying the property in 2006. An economic crisis put the project on hold, and then it was cut. The COVID-19 pandemic happened, and the casino construction was delayed again.
The Olympia Gaming company said they were already looking for 300 employees. The hiring process will continue in August.
