The Company Files a Petition in an Attempt to Overturn Casino Endorsement in Arkansas

The Fair Play Arkansas group, sponsored by the Choctaw Tribe, announced it had collected the necessary amount of signatures to vote on its motion to overturn portions of the casino gambling ordinance passed by voters 4 years ago. The company would like to exclude Pope County from the counties that allow casinos in Arkansas.

The company declared it had submitted over 100,000 signatures. It’s more that it was necessary to put the proposal on the November ballot last year. The Arkansas Secretary of State will soon determine whether the signatures are valid and then take a final decision on this touchy subject.

Hans Stiritz, the CEO of FPA, claimed she was very pleased with the results. She mentioned that she wanted to thank everyone who had decided to respond to the company’s call.

In 2018, Arkansas voters endorsed a constitutional change allowing one casino each in several state counties. The proposed casino resort would include about 1,000 slots, over 30 table games, and about 200 luxury apartments. It was already announced that the construction of the brick-and-mortar venue would cost about $225m.

Let us remind you that White Hat Studios and BetMGM recently became partners.
