Details of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Remodeling Now Unveiled
Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, which is recognized as one of the preeminent meeting and trade show destinations in the US, has unveiled details around the $100 million remodel of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center.
Dynamic digital signage, significant technology upgrades, and a new design complementing Mandalay Bay’s tropical ambiance are the remodeling highlights that reflect the evolving needs and preferences of contemporary meetings.
Vice President of Sales for Mandalay Bay Ernest Stovall noted that with Mandalay Bay home to many of the city’s top events and trade shows year after year, they recognized the need to upgrade the space to reflect modern-day needs and create a timeless design complemented by their premier service experience. He added that they had listened to feedback from meeting planners over recent years and were confident that refreshed and upgraded space would exceed the needs and expectations in every way.
As for technology enhancements, an entirely new Cat6A Ethernet cabling has been recently installed throughout Mandalay Bay’s convention center. It allows double the frequency of data transmission. Also, 11 new dynamic digital walls measuring up to 24’ x 13’ are available for planners to easier communicate with attendees. Additionally, more than 200 new cameras will be installed, as well as RFID locks on all meeting room doors.
As for redesigning, the newly remodeled convention space is planned to be refreshingly bright and vibrant, complementing Mandalay Bay’s tropical-inspired brand.
The convention center is not the only space to be remodeled: Mandalay Bay continues to upgrade and add amenities and experiences throughout the resort. All suites and rooms in Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas will be renovated soon, Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar will be added next summer, and the STRIPSTEAK redesign is scheduled to debut in early 2023.
In other news, Grand Traverse Resort & Casinos will use VizExplorer solutions at two casinos in Northern Michigan.
