OddsSeeker: Michigan Will Become the Largest Online Gambling Market
Comparing the first half of 2022, gambling site revenues in New Jersey and Michigan come to $814.5 million and $757 million, respectively. The results, compiled by OddsSeeker, were published by the regulatory authorities of these states.
When calculating the income from online gambling, the figures came out to be $87.89 in New Jersey and $75.31 in Michigan.
The online gambling market in Michigan was launched relatively recently, at the beginning of 2021. In New Jersey, such a market was created in November, 2013, so we can conclude that there is a tremendous pent-up demand for online gambling not only in Michigan but also in those states where the corresponding market is still not legalized.
When it comes to the popularity of specific casinos in each of the states analyzed, in New Jersey, BetMGM ranked first, followed by Caesars and BetRivers (second place), DraftKings, FanDuel, Golden Nugget, and WynnBet. In Michigan, the top three were the same, followed by DraftKings, FanDuel, and WynnBet.
While New Jersey casinos gained a record revenue of over $140 million this March, according to the OddsSeeker editor, Michigan casinos could overtake them in the future to become the country’s most important and largest iGaming and online betting market.
