L&W Cooperates with Grand Casino Luzern
Light & Wonder, one of the leading providers of casino software, has signed a deal with Grand Casino Luzern. It is the first time this US-based company launches its content in Switzerland’s iGaming market.
Grand Casino Luzern has dominated the Swiss online gambling industry since the country started regulating iGaming a few years ago. L&W will supply the operator’s mycasino brand with new titles through its OpenGaming aggregation platform. The library of proprietary and third-party content, which will be available for Swiss customers, includes RAGIN RHINO, 88FORTUNES, SPARTACUS and other games.
The new deal will reinforce L&W’s footprint in Europe. The company already has a strong presence in the region due to the agreements with numerous operators. Its content is already present in land-based casinos in Switzerland. Now it will also be available online. Considering high results of the Swiss iGaming market with GGR of $250 million generated in 2022, it’s a very appealing destination for online gambling companies.
CEO of Grand Casino Luzern Wolfgang Bliem noted that his team seeked to provide players with the richest suite of innovative casino titles. According to him, partnering with L&W and gaining access to games that players already love would allow the operator to deliver the best content available within the regulated Swiss market.
Light & Wonder’s managing director of Europe Magdalena Podhorska-Okolow noted that the regulated online market in Switzerland had been performing very well. She added that they were thrilled to enter the market with Grand Casino Luzern, a strong brand in Switzerland with a player base appreciating content with land-based roots. According to Podhorska-Okolow, Grand Casino Luzern’s online customers would have a torrent of content unleashed through the OpenGaming platform.
