Konami’s Synkros Casino Management System to Appear in Rivers Casino Portsmouth, Which Opens Soon
Rivers Casino Portsmouth, the first permanent casino in Virginia, will open its doors on January 15, 2023, with Synkros technology powering its gaming experience. It will be the fifth location of Rush Street Gaming where Konami’s system is launched.
Synkros will deliver communications, offers, rewards and more across the casino’s 57 table games, 1,448 gaming machines, sportsbook, poker room, restaurants and other venues.
Roy Corby, Rivers Casino Portsmouth General Manager, noted that built from the ground up as a state-of-the-art gaming and entertainment complex, Rivers Casino Portsmouth was fully equipped for real-time, personalized rewards and loyalty engagement, powered through Synkros.
Corby added that it equipped the property to achieve its immediate and long-term technology goals, while ensuring constant operational management across the casino.
The first time when Rush Street Gaming decided to launch Konami’s casino management system was back in 2009: Rivers Casino Pittsburgh was powered by Synkros. Since then, the partnership with Konami has expanded with the system launched at three more facilities — Rivers Casino Des Plaines, Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady.
The aim of Konami’s casino system is to combine all data sources of a venue within a single platform, transforming it into real-time insights and action for casino operators.
Tim Drehkoff, Rush Street Gaming CEO, noted that as an organization that strived to be a leader in each of its markets, Rush Street Gaming had a reliable partner and a robust ecosystem in place with Konami’s Synkros.
Drehkoff added that looking ahead to the opening of Rivers Casino Portsmouth in 2023, they’re fully confident in the guest experience Synkros helped support on the technology front.
