Gaming Realms Launches in Connecticut Through Partnership with DraftKings
Gaming Realms’ content will now be available in Connecticut as the online slot developer has entered the state through a partnership with DraftKings. Five titles will be presented initially, and nine more games will be released in the next phase. Players will be offered such titles as Slingo Gems, Blackjack X-Change, and Lucky Larry’s Lobstermania Slingo.
Note that in June, the developer secured an online gaming provider license from Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection and got the possibility to supply licensed operators active in the state with its content.
Executive chairman of Gaming Realms, Michael Buckley, noted that the USA was a significant growth market for them, and they were delighted that their content was then live in Connecticut, which was the fourth largest iGaming state. He added that they had a number of new operator launches in the pipeline, and they expected to continue the expansion of their popular Slingo content on a global basis.
It’s worth reminding that Gaming Realms is also approved in three other states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan. Also, the company was awarded an Ontario license for supplying online games, which happened ahead of the province’s regulated market launch on April 4 this year.
Recently Gaming Realms has also made a deal with Discovery to develop two new online slot games based on two of Discovery’s TV shows. Slingo Shark Week has already gone live, while another title themed around the Deadliest Catch brand is expected to be released by the end of the year.
The company’s interim results for the period to June 2022 showed a revenue increase of 10% year-on-year from £7.7m to £8.5m in the first half of this year, and group EBITDA grew 12% to £3.5m, representing a 41% EBITDA margin.
